About Jake:
Jake is a creative, an educator, and an entreprenuer. He is a networker, a manager, a businessman, and a teacher. He has many years of experience in graphic design, video production, web design, computer programming, project management, system integration, marketing, and business.
In 1999, Jake started his first corporation, Web Radicals, to provide web design and hosting. Also in 1999, Web Radicals acquired NuGraphX, Inc., a graphic design and marketing firm. In 2003, Jake started his second company, The Detroit Creative Group. Since that time Jake has managed clients such as Ford Motor Company, Brookies, and Audette Office Equipment.
Jake is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Schoolcraft College and has also been and adjunct with Ferris State University. He sits on advisory boards for Schoolcraft College, Ferris State University, the Art Institue of Michigan, and Breihaupt Technical Center (Detroit Public Schools). He is a Member at Large and a Past Chair of the ACM/SIGGRAPH Professional Chapter of Southeastern Michigan, and a former President of the Southeast Michigan Animation and Effects Group (SEMAFX). Jake has been a member of the ACM/SIGGRAPH Education Committee, holding positions of Marketing and Sponsorship Coordinator and ACM/SIGGRAPH Student Animation Competition Coordinator(SPACE-Time). He currently sits on the board AIGA West Michigan, where he is Director for Education.
When not working on Detroit Creative work, teaching, or community activities, Jake spends time with his wife exploring the Grand Rapids, Michigan area where they live and play.
